Manuscripts

The collection includes Slavonic, Greek, Ottoman Turkish and Persian manuscripts on parchment and paper from the 11th-19th centuries. The collection of Slavonic manuscripts preserves especially precious and valuable medieval literary monuments known in the scholarly world, such as the Kyustendil Palimpsest from the late 12th century, the Slepchensky Apostle (fragment) from the second half of the 12th century, the Kichevski Triod from the second half of the 12th century, the Trebnik of Daniil of Etropole, 1592, Pop Yovkov Pentikostar from 1636, Plovdiv Collection from the first half of the 15th century, Sliven Damaskin from the first half of the 17th century, etc. The manuscripts of the seventeenth century are unique in their grace and beauty - Markovsky Psalter, 1638, Pop Avram's Minei, 1660 and Pop Avram's Collect, 1674 , the Service Minei for May, June and September by Krastyo Gramatik, etc.
