Regional Ethnographic Museum – Plovdiv Is officially open for visitors.
We remind you that all the visitors must keep distance of 1,5 m. and all anti-epidemiological measures, both in the museum's building and the courtyard. You can still see the two temporal exhibitions that were presented before the start of the emergency situation: "Kukeri – pageant of colours, magic and mistery" by Regional Historical Museum – Yambol. The exhibition presents the kukeri dances popular in Southeast Bulgaria which were known for their diversity, sustainability and authenticity. The visitors will feel the atmosphere of these old rituals, they will meet the typical characters part of the tradition, and will understand the symbolics and meaning of the kukeri costume elements. "Tints from the valley of Tundzha river, Strandzha and Sakar mountains" by Ethnographic – archaeological Museum – Elhovo. Varieties of the sukman type costumes from Elhovo region that are spread in the valley of Tundzha river, Strandzha and Sakar mountains are shown in the exhibition. From the rich museum's collections are presented the original adornments and women' costumes that are more than a century old, embroidered with love and fantasy by the skillful women.
